HERO Club is a unique service club at A&M Consolidated High School. Hero Club is sponsored by¬†Maureen Riley & ¬†Matthew Young. Meetings are every Tuesday at 3:55 in Mrs. Riley’s room (I-1238).

HERO club stands for Helping Everyone Reach Out– It provides students an opportunity to locally volunteer in their school and community. HERO club stresses the importance of volunteer work. Members of HERO club will have the opportunity to volunteer in a number of events including: school events (homecoming carnival and recycling). In addition, members will have the opportunity to volunteer locally through projects like Brazos Valley Food Bank and Earth Day (Keep Brazos Beautiful). Lastly, students will have the opportunity to volunteer internationally, through a new project called We Can Be Heroes, this project was created by DC Entertainment, which provides relief for the hardest hit areas of Africa. As of right now We Can Be Heroes has raised over 2 million dollars in donations. Hero Club has a number of fundraisers to raise money for this program.
